Alabama Landlord Required Disclosures

Any landlord or any person authorized to enter into an Alabama rental agreement on the landlord’s behalf shall disclose the following information to the tenant in writing at or before the commencement of the tenancy:

Manager and Owner Information

The name and business address of the person authorized to manage the premises; and an owner of the premises or a person authorized to act for and on behalf of the owner for the purpose of service of process and receiving and receipting for notices and demands.

Information Must be Kept Current

The contact information required to be furnished under Alabama law shall be kept current and this extends to and is enforceable against any successor landlord, owner, or manager.

Agents are Responsible

Any person who acts as an agent of a landlord must also accept service of process and notices and demands; and perform the obligations of the landlord under these requirements and under the rental agreement and expending or making available for the purpose all rent collected from the premises.
