DC When a Notice to Quit is Not Required

The District of Columbia Code Title 42 Chapter 32 Section 1 provides a landlord the right to possession of a rental property without having to provide a notice to quit under the following circumstances:

When notice to quit not necessary.

When real estate is leased for a certain term no notice to quit shall be necessary, but the landlord shall be entitled to the possession, without such notice, immediately upon the expiration of the term.
