DC Parties May Waive or Change Notice to Quit

The District of Columbia Code Title 42 Chapter 32 Section 8 outlines the following right for landlords and tenants to mutually agree to different requirements for providing notice to terminate tenancy:

Parties May Agree to Alternate Notice Provisions

Nothing herein contained shall be construed as preventing the parties to a lease, by agreement in writing, from substituting a longer or shorter notice to quit than is above provided or to waive all such notice.
