This California Month-to-Month Lease Agreement is a short term tenancy option that renews every month as opposed to annual residential agreements. This gives a landlord (and tenant) flexibility by being able to cancel the agreement by giving the other party a 30 day advance notice (for tenancies lasting less than one year) or a 60 day advance notice (for tenancies lasting for one year or longer).
Read the California law which governs short term rental agreements CC 1946.
