This Connecticut Residential Lease Agreement is usually intended for tenancy terms lasting one year or longer, but may be used for shorter term arrangements. It is a comprehensive 9 page rental agreement that allows for a landlord to itemize included utilities and furnishings (if applicable).
Connecticut Security Deposits
Collecting – A maximum amount equivalent to 2 months’ rent may be collected from tenants under the age of 62 and a maximum of 1 month’s rent from tenants 62 and older. (§ 47a-21)
Returning – A security deposit must be returned to a tenant with any accrued interest within 30 of them surrendering possession of the property to the landlord or within 15 days of receiving their forwarding address, whichever is later. (§ 47a-21)
