Rent out a house or apartment with this Hawaii Month-to-Month Lease Agreement. It auto renews each month until either party decides to cancel the agreement by providing the required advance in the state of Hawaii. Currently, a landlord must provide a Hawaii 45 Day Notice to Quit and the tenant must provide a 28 day notice before surrendering the premises and moving out.
What Does Hawaii Law Say?
(b) When the tenancy is month-to-month the tenant may terminate the rental agreement by notifying the landlord, in writing, at least twenty-eight days in advance of the anticipated termination. When the tenant provides notice of termination, the tenant shall be responsible for the payment of rent through the twenty-eighth day.
